Market Prediction

Last week, JCI tended to be flat, but managed to close up 0.16% and close at 6,643.

On the other hand, the sectoral stock index which rose significantly, financial sector by 2.52%. The sector index that fell was energy sector with a decline of 4.90%.

JCI closed higher with a bullish candle. The stochastic indicator is weak, MACD histogram is positive but down (bullish line) and volume is down. If JCI moves bullish again, there is a chance to test the resistance at the range of 6,687 – 6,693. If JCI moves bearish again, it could return to support 6,602 and support II at 6,585. 


Commodities Review

  • Crude oil prices closed higher again at the end of trading Friday (10/22/2021) following the sentiment of low supply, despite concerns that the low demand due to the Covid-19 pandemic is still not over. 


Macro Economic News

  • The United Kingdom’s GfK Consumer Confidence index fell for the third straight month to -17 in October of 2021 from -13 in the prior month, compared to market expectations of -16.
  • Japan's consumer prices rose by 0.2 percent year-on-year in September 2021, rebounding from a 0.4 percent drop a month earlier and posting the first annual gain since August 2020.
  • Retail sales in the UK unexpectedly dropped 0.2% mom in September of 2021, following a downwardly revised 0.6% fall in August, and compared to forecasts of a 0.5% increase.
  • The IHS Markit Eurozone Composite PMI fell to 54.3 in October 2021, from 56.2 in the previous month and below market expectations of 55.2, a preliminary estimate showed. 


Corporate news

  • PT Kedawung Setia Industrial Tbk (KDSI) posted performance growth in the third quarter of 2021. KDSI recorded net sales of IDR 1.58 trillion in the first nine months of this year. This value increased by 12.85% from the January-September period of the previous year which was valued at IDR 1.40 trillion.
  • PT Bank Jago Tbk (ARTO) managed to record a net profit in the third quarter of 2021 after six years of losses. In the third quarter of this year, ARTO posted a net profit of IDR 14 billion. ARTO's net profit was supported by credit growth of 71.7% quarterly to IDR 3.73 trillion.
  • PT Arwana Citramulia Tbk (ARNA) until the third quarter of 2021 recorded net sales of IDR 1.88 trillion. That number was 16.91 percent higher compared to sales in the same period last year of IDR 1.61 trillion.
  • PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) in the first half of 2021 recorded a 9.58% decline in annual revenue (yoy) to US$ 152.91 million during the first half of this year.
